Cette installation qui accueille le visiteur dans l'escalier monumental de l'exposition et le reconduit à sa sortie, est un assemblage suspendu de bâteaux complétés par des feuilles de fils blancs laqués, qui reflètent la lumière. L'ensemble donne l'impression d'un envol d'oiseaux blancs ou de nuées et peut faire songer à un voyage spirituel.
"Ou allons nous?" se distingue ainsi des autres installations qui sont réalisées en fil noir ou rouge.

Superb exhibition "Chiharu Shiota - The Soul Trembles" at the Grand Palais in Paris.
Where are we going? (2017/2024)
This installation, which welcomes visitors into the monumental staircase of the exhibition and takes them back to their exit, is a suspended assembly of boats completed by sheets of lacquered white threads, which reflect the light. The whole gives the impression of a flight of white birds or clouds and can make one think of a spiritual journey.
"Where are we going?" thus stands out from the other installations which are made of black or red thread.
