Sock is a self-taught painter from the south of France and is part of the 5.7 Crew collective.
This mural, produced in 2021 as part of the urban art and street-art festival of the city of Calais, is in anamorphosis, which means that there is only one place to take it in photography otherwise the subject is distorted.
He introduces us to a blue whale and her calf in an aquarium where “Welcome to Calais” is written on the wall. A fresco that conveys an ecologic message: “Let’s protect the whales”.

Sock ou 'chaussette' en français, est un artiste peintre autodidacte natif du sud de la France et fait parti du collectif 5.7 Crew.
Cette peinture, réalisée en 2021 dans le cadre du festival d’art urbain et de street-art de la ville de Calais, est en anamorphose, ce qui veut dire qu’il n’y a qu’un seul endroit pour la prendre en photographie sinon le motif est déformé.
Il nous présente une baleine bleue et son baleineau dans un aquarium où est inscrit sur le mur « Bienvenu à Calais ». Une fresque qui véhicule un message écologie: « Protégeons les baleines ».
