Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

On Toompea Hill, Tallinn, a potent reminder of early Russian influence, and loved by many, this Orthodox church was completed in 1900, and was at one time scheduled for demolition. It is an impressive structure and the gilt crosses glow in the morning sun.
