Uses of Clay Adams Serofuge

Clay Adams Serofuge are used in blood banking for isolating serum from red blood cells, the direct antibody test, detecting rouleaux, agglutination grading, and antibody identification. Often best test tubes of 10x75 are used for all lab methods. Tubes of 12x75 are used only for washing the red cells, storage space and setting up serological titers. Furthermore, Centrifuges have got to be set to run at 3400 to 3500 rpm in blood banking for correct grading and red cell washing methods. But 1000g is often recommended force for agglutination grading in a case of glass culture tubes.
