Bruce,s Stone
The stone to the left in the photo is called Bruce,s Stone, not far from Craigruie (Kings Rock) where it is claimed that Robert The Bruce addressed his men not long prior to the The Battle Of Bannockburn in 1314.There is a 200 year old Scots Pine tree growing out of it and has always fascinated me ever since i first came here on happy family days out with my folks then my own children and now my grandchildren. It is a very mystical place here as on two seperate night's wild camping, years apart and in different company there was witnessed a green glow/ phosphorescent light crossing the water at a slow pace. One of the sightings was by my son aged around 7 at the time.
I have researched the internet over the years and the only explanation is marsh gas or Will-o'-the-wisp as it was known back over the centuries.
