Flat top
High speed splash shot - I like the flat top effect.
I bought this square glass at the thrift store and had to make it a prop for one of my shots. It has a green tint color and contrasted nicely with the background.
Strobist / setup;
- Custom built sliding table - glass is affixed to the table, which slides to the right stopping abruptly. When this occurs. the flash is triggered, capturing the splash.
- Hiviz Schmitt photogate trigger with delay circuit used.
- 1 - SB-800 flash set to 1/8 th power behind glass. Reflected off foamboard, through custom diffusion screen. Flash is gelled orange.
- Red coloring added to water.
- Cropping, light levels and saturation effects made in Picasa.
