Forgotten Cemetery, Dallas County, AL8

The Azion Baptist Church sits on the west side of Dallas Co. Rd. 21 and less than a mile north of Alabama Rt. 22 at Martin Station. Behind the church are several fairly recent graves, but across the road is an extensive cemetery that covers perhaps an acre of what is now wooded land not visible from the road in summer. It is the cemetery that was originally adjacent to the Protestant Methodist church (now long gone) and the St. Luke's Episcopal Church (originally built in Cahawba, later moved to Martin, and recently (ca. 2008) returned to Cahaba.
