I and Myself in Me

Human beings are complicated creatures. Each individual has multilayers in his/her personality. No one is simply one-dimensional. Everyone has an I and myself in me. The two overlapping faces of Robert are actually two different sides of his face.

This overlapping/paralleled profile portrait is inspired by Jan de Bray's artwork Portrait of the Artist's Parents, Salomon de Bray and Anna Westerbaen (1664), and Peter paul Rubens' artwork Agrippina and Germanicus (c. 1614).
