Peak Restaurant Newquay April 1984
The restaurant owner must have been a peak basher. No we didn't dine here. There were only two dining choices in Newquay. Arriving off an overnight at 06.30 or shortly after would entail a visit to the greasy spoon opposite. Otherwise the Newquay afternoon arrivals would result in a visit to the excellent chippy outside the station . My abiding memory is the sign in the window "Mushy Peas - The Original Blanketlifters". L-R: Trowbridge, Keith, Rosie, Kev McCarthy being a bit shy at the back, Tim Onslow (if you had a face like his you'd hide it), ?, Sorrell , ?, Phil Hunt and Alex Bayliss.
