Member of an urban rookery in the city of Saint Louis Missouri, consisting of 175+ nests of Little Blue Herons, Black-Crowned Night Herons, Snowy Egrets, and Great Egrets. Many nest trees are marked for removal by the property manager for apartments in the area, and tree trimmers were recently blocked by local birders after cutting down at least one tree containing chicks and eggs.
