Dolomites. Been there a few times, but this was my first time doing astro. All I can say is: I can’t wait to go back.

But before, during, and after that night, a lot went wrong.A dirty sensor on my H-alpha modified Nikon Z6, and then both the laser pointer for the star tracker and my remote triggers decided to stay behind in a nice warm room at the Airbnb. That meant I was limited to 30-second exposures instead of the planned 2-minute ones. But even with all that, I somehow managed to capture one of my first winter Milky Way panoramas in the Dolomites.
