Cormorant Hangout

Cormorants on a pier of the predecessor bridge of the current Floridsdorfer Brücke, a road bridge over the Danube in Vienna, which connects the 20th district of Brigittenau and the 21st district of Floridsdorf. This hangout is extremely popular with cormorants year after year.

 

Every year, hundreds of cormorants spend the winter on Vienna's waters, especially on the Danube and its oxbow lake, the Old Danube.
