Ferstel Passage
The Ferstel Passage aka Freyung Passage is an elegant shopping arcade in Palais Ferstel. It links the Herrengasse with Freyung, a triangular historic square, in Vienna's 1st district Innere Stadt.
Palais Ferstel was originally built for the Austrian National Bank and stock exchange in 1856-1860. The architect was Baron Heinrich von Ferstel, who is considered an outstanding Viennese representative of historicism. The building has echoes of the Venetian and Florentine early Renaissance.
