In the Sonnwendviertel near Vienna Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) in Favoriten, the 10th district
Vienna's Hauptbahnhof was built from 2009 to 2015 on the area of the former Südbahnhof. This new development quarter was created on the site of its freight station, which was no longer needed due to the conversion of many freight shipments to transport by truck and the relocation of the freight station's functions to other Vienna stations.
Here you can see the neighbourhood's newly created park, Helmut Zilk Park, and a shop of the widespread Mann bakery chain, which presents itself as Das Park Cafe on the other side of the building.
