St. Moritz in Augsburg (Seitenkapelle)

"On the night of the bombing on 24-25 February 1944, the church burnt out. The fire destroyed the nave ceiling with the choir dome and almost the entire interior, including the high altar, the side altars, the pulpit, the church seating and the organ." Afterwards, the church was rebuilt in a makeshift fashion.

Between 2010 and 2013, the church was renovated and redesigned. "The design came from the London architect and designer John Pawson, who wanted to create a "church space of the future" here. The aim was to express "clarity" and "minimalism" and to install a lighting system suitable for the new spatial concept. The reopening of the newly designed church took place on 21 April 2013." de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Moritz_(Augsburg)
