Xiaojie Alert
Xiaojie (小姐, literally "little older sister", usually very inaccurately translated as "miss") are a dreaded Chinese variety of damsels who use their real or feigned stupid helplessness to permanently boss young men around and dance on their noses. The only way to master them is to turn the tables. But I wonder if this young man would be able to do that.
I have observed young men on China's streets kneeling before such xiaojie to tie their shoes. I have repeatedly seen xiaojie loudly reprimanding young men in public. Only once, on one such occasion, did I see the young man in question simply leave the xiaojie who was rebuking him. The girl was stunned at first. The lad walking leisurely along was already about 100 meters away when she was finally able to react and started running. When she reached him, she hit him with punches that bounced off him like cotton balls.
