Favoriten Is Burning
More exactly: my neighbourhood in Favorten is burning. I had spent ten days in my home town Augsburg, but had read the news about what was going on in my neighbourhood in Favoriten, the 10th district of Vienna.
On Wednesday there was a demonstration of Kurdish women and supporters against feminicides in Turkey and Austria. It was attacked by a Grey-Wolves-lead Erdogan-supporting mob.
On Thursday and this Friday, when I came back from Germany, there were demonstrations against this fascist violence with lots of police, some of them with wicked dogs, preventing the Erdogan mob from attacking the demonstrators. This is a picture of this demonstration.
