Yak Meat
On the market of Zhongdian, the so-called "Shangri-La", in the furthermost northwest of the Chinese province Yunnan, not far from the border to the Tibet Autonomous Region. The city and the county are part of the Himalayan foothills and are located at an elevation of almost 3,200 m (10,500 ft). Only Yaks are well adapted to such high altitudes, therefore you'll find neither cattle nor beef in this region.
