[LOW QUALITY] The Haverstraw 2007 C2's that never were...

2007 Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2.

 

 

When it first came to Chappaqua in 2007, I noticed it matched the specs of the 2007 Haverstraw Transit C2's on School Bus Central identically (extended skirting, LED warning lights, no radio). After riding the bus, I noticed there was faded lettering of a former number on the inside, which I thought was weird. Add to that, I never saw the Haverstraw 2007 C2's after those initial pictures at the dealer.

Fast forward to today, and a new satellite view of the Chappaqua Transportation lot has a C2 in it with the roof number HT 423. Chappaqua had many used Haverstraw buses, and they all had the HT xxx roof number. But... if you head over to ThoseGuys119, you'll see that the current 423 is a 2007 FS-65. So I did some more digging, and found that Haverstraw Transit owned Quality Bus Sales and Service, where these Thomases were from. Most likely, they relinquished their order of C2s and decided to repaint them yellow, sell them off, and stick to the more reliable FS-65.
