Zonder titel (1990) Dick Postema
Dit werk is gemaakt door kunstenaar Dick Postema. De twee sculpturen zijn gemaakt van opengewerkt geroest cortenstaal. Zowel de roestkleur, als deze oude techniek (ook wel ajour genoemd) verwijzen naar het verleden, terwijl de abstractie weer duidelijk op de veel recentere moderne kunst duidt. Het beeld werd onthuld op 9 maart 1990 door toenmalig burgemeester Bram Peper. Het werk moest tijdelijk verwijderd worden vanwege de verbouwing van het café om de hoek. Het moest toen plaatsmaken voor een opslagplaats van het bouwmateriaal, maar is daarna teruggeplaatst op zijn oorspronkelijk locatie.

This work was made by artist Dick Postema. The two sculptures are made of openwork rusted Corten steel. Both the rust color and this old technique (also called openwork) refer to the past, while the abstraction clearly points to much more recent modern art. The statue was unveiled on March 9, 1990 by then mayor Bram Peper. The work had to be temporarily removed because of the renovation of the café around the corner. It then had to make way for a warehouse for the building materials, but has since been returned to its original location.
