Sobesos ancient city.
It was specified that Sobesos is between Tomissos (modern Taşkınpaşa) and Soandos (Soğanlı valley) on antique sources. When it has been seen looked as locally, probability of being present Şahinefendi village is high. But it had not been found any ruin belonging to the Roman period. They could not have the common idea regarding the subject which place is Sobesos city.
Vestiges of the city have been discovered in an unexpected place by the way of who have made unlicensed excavation. Sobesos which is in start point of the valley, has been established on a field which is secure in terms of strategically and which is fertile land. Today, central of the city administration and bathhouse complex have been completely revealed. Floor mosaics which have been presented good workmanship, have been determined each two square. In addition, civil architecture examples have been revealed. But the border of town can not be determined yet completely.

Sobesos'un antik kaynaklar üzerinde Tomissos (modern Taşkınpaşa) ve Soandos (Soğanlı vadisi) arasında olduğu belirtildi. Yerel olarak görüldüğü zaman Şahinefendi köyünde bulunma olasılığı yüksektir. Ancak Roma dönemine ait herhangi bir harabe bulunmamıştı. Sobesos şehri olan yerle ilgili ortak bir fikirleri olamazdı.
Kentin kalıntıları beklenmedik bir yerde, ruhsatsız kazı yapanlar tarafından keşfedilmiştir. Vadinin başlangıç noktası olan Sobesos, stratejik açıdan güvenli ve verimli bir alan olan bir alana kurulmuştur. Günümüzde kent merkezi ve hamam kompleksi merkezi tamamen ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Her iki kare için iyi işçilik sunmuş olan döşeme mozaikleri belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca sivil mimari örnekleri de ortaya kondu. Ancak kentin sınırı henüz tam olarak belirlenemiyor.
