She was named the Playboy Playmate of the Month in March 1967 at the age of 19 years and was known for being the first Playmate to wear eyeglasses. After appearing in Playboy, Fran completely vanished from the scene and made no known further appearances as a model.
Fran died on May 30, 1985 in Fountain Valley, California at the age of 37 years.
