Ninety Years Ago Today, In Milwaukee part 1
It is May 10, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as photographer Harvey Uecker captures the first of the world famous Milwaukee Type Class A Atlantics being prepped for service, after being delivered to The Milwaukee Road from the American Locomotive Company. Here, the number 1 shows it's boiler front while sitting inside the roundhouse. A close look through the vent holes in the skirting reveal the location of the brass bell.
