Battling the Grade

Climbing the 2.2% grade, BNSF 6823 pierces through the fog hauling an empty oil train on Steven’s Pass. My friends and I hiked 5 miles to try and get some less photographed compositions. Damn this was a wet 5 hour hike, took me 2 days to dry out my camera bag, saw 4 trains and got some decent photos.
