Across the Bay
A trio of BNSF GEs has just begun their journey back to Montana as they haul an empty coal drag across Bridge 127.6. I decided to walk out onto the muddy beach to get closer to the water. I knew with the rapidly rising tide, I couldn’t stand in one spot for too long to avoid sinking into the mud. While the train was on the bridge, my focus was on getting the shot, and not the mud. As I went to stand up, I realized my foot was stuck in the mud, and I ended up falling and getting covered in it. As most photographers, my first thought was to raise my camera in the air to prevent it from getting damaged! I’d say it turned out pretty well!
