A Slow Climb

My friends and I were on our way back home from a five day trip to Alberta to photograph the CP 2816 departing on the Final Spike tour. We had a blast, and on our last day we decided to watch this grain train climb Notch Hill after the sun had set. After about 10 minutes the silence was broken by the EMD roar. For about hour the KCS SD70 on the rear of this grain train could heard as pushes hard on the rear of a loaded export grain train around the horseshoe.
