Care for the young ones
It was at a campground where I discovered a nest. At least I saw finches landing at the same spot etcetera. From a distance I observed it for a longtime. The result: the female finch took much more care for the nest then the male finch. Both arrived with insects for feeding their juveniles. And what surprised me the most was the fact that a male blackbird also arrived regularly and brought insects with him.
