Hello, Lunch

Crossbill [Loxia curvirostra] m.

 

This guy and his lady love, were just hanging around on the pine tree, having a late lunch.

 

Tried researching this bird - there is some dubiety about the species: it could be a common crossbill; it could also be a Scottish crossbill. Apparently very difficult to tell the difference...the Scottish crossbill has a deeper voice. Oh? This guy didn’t say very much as he was busy eating.
