Broom [ Cytisus scoparius]

 

I’m always happy when I see the first beautiful blooms on the broom in my garden in the spring...It’s so vibrant and the bees love it.

 

Recently, it has taken a dreadful battering from the wind and it looks like this may be the last year it graces the garden. I’ll collect seeds from it in the autumn and see what happens.

 

I’ll really miss this beautiful shrub...
