Sonny’s Dream 🇨🇦

Newfoundland Tablelands, from Norris Point across Bonne Bay. 🇨🇦

This is in Gros Morne National Park, and the Tablelands are part of the Long Range Mountains. Bonne Bay goes out into the Gulf of St Lawrence, on the west coast of Newfoundland.

The Tablelands were originally part of the earth’s mantle and have been, and continue to be, studied extensively by internationally renowned geologists.

The low-lying cloud and mists, I thought, are quite beautiful. With a northern gannet thrown in, for good measure.

This is such a wonderful place! I didn’t want to leave...

“Oh, Sonny, don’t go away, I’m here all alone

And your daddy’s a sailor who never comes home...”
