Signs of spring!-7D2_2639-001

This is Dylan. He's a Soay Ram. He looks kind of cute but don't turn your back on him. I occasionally feed him and his lady friends if my neighbour is away. Once I go into the field with the sack of sheep feed, Dylan is over to me like a shot and won't stop head butting the feed sack until he gets his dinner. Once he's had his dinner, he's as nice as pie.

The Soay sheep is a breed of domestic sheep descended from a population of feral sheep on the 100-hectare island of Soay in the St Kilda Archipelago, about 65 kilometres from the Western Isles of Scotland. It is one of the Northern European short-tailed sheep breeds.
