Lex- Crane still refuses to answer me. Still, the world can not stop simply because the Scarecrow is ignoring me. There's always a Plan B.

 

Kuttler- Plan B! You mean to say you're still going through with this?

 

Lex- Noah, after all these years you still think that 'I' would change my mind? The Scarecrow may have thrown another obstacle my way, he may have through means unknown turned my men against me, but I refuse, point blank, to allow that to stop my from completing my plans.

 

Kuttler- That's it then? Nothing I can do would stop you?

 

Lex- Well... I suppose you could shoot me in the head with that gun you're holding but I doubt you really have the courage to kill me.

 

Kuttler- You'd be surprised, I sent Burnrate after Sionis and the Green Arrow-

 

Lex- Last month, yes, but that was a machine, wasn't it. You could never really get your hands dirty, could you?

 

Kuttler- I- damn you

 

*He throws the gun away in defeat*

 

Lex- Good. Now, as I was going to say before your little interruption, I want you to contact Emil Hamilton at Project CADMUS, he knows the item I'm after, so therefore it should be easy enough to procure...

 

*Thawne comes speeding down the hall towards him and throwing him to the ground, his hand around Luthor's throat*

 

Lex- This is your mutiny is it, Thawne? That makes sense, I thought I recognised your signature sloppiness. Now, if you could loosen your grip-

 

Thawne- I told him, you know. Kuttler, I mean. I said he couldn't do it.

 

Lex- Of course not, why would I walk, outside, unprotected, with a man who disagreed with me, without first confirming he would not be a threat? Really Eobard, your constant ressurections must be having a negative effect on your inferior intellect.

 

Thawne- Don't aggravate me further Lex, I could kill you-

 

Bane- Thawne! What is this treachery?

 

Thawne- Ask Luthor. You recognise this Bane?

 

Bane- Yes. One of our "Brain-Bombs". Explain.

 

Thawne- Well, I happened to dig that one out of my throat. I imagine- Yes, you have one too

 

Lex- A precaution, really. After our vote, I couldn't be sure you would go through with our plan

 

Bane- Remember this Luthor, we aren't like the rest of your lackeys, we are on the council and consequently you shall treat us as equals. If you don't... rest assured I will break you, and anyone who continues to follow you. Are we clear?

 

Thawne- That's not adequate, you can't trust his word, we're just puppets to him! You know the only way to ensure our survival would be to-

 

Bane- Killing him would do us no good and I doubt those bombs are the only leverage on us... Now, Luthor, are we clear?

 

Lex- ... Crystal. Now. If you'll excuse me... *exits*

 

Thawne- Great, Bane. We had a chance to stop him and you didn't take it!

 

Bane- I said it would do us no good. It is that simple. We would need to know what we're up against before attempting an attack against him.

Thawne- I still think we ought to have killed him. He was vunerable and-

 

Bane- That would be cowardly. I abhor cowardice.

 

Kuttler- You know, there are other ways to stop him...
