Celtic Myths and Legends Window
This recently installed window reflects Celtic myths and legends in the aim to show that the building is a "City Hall for All". It shows the Cattle Raid of Cooley, or Táin Bó Cúailnge, one of the most famous tales in Celtic mythology.
In the story, Queen Medbh of Connacht sends her army north to Ulster to capture a great brown bull. They are no match for the great warrior Cuchulain however and Medbh's army is defeated, but not before they manage to seize the bull.
The window was designed by Martin Donlin.
