The engine was built by Rogers Loco works in New Jersey,USA in 1877 and withdrawn from service in 1926 to be dumped in a riverbank to strengthen flood defences.It was recovered in 1974 and restored by 1981.A number of other engines, including two classmates have also been recovered,
