Rennlei W. says: These pairs of shoes placed in this particular way guides the eyes in a swooping motion from foreground to background, which is a creative and pleasing element in the photo. I also really enjoy the lighting on the shoes, bringing out the crisp highlights with some still evident shading on the floor. It kind of feels like the quote of "putting yourself in someone elses shoes".

Rennlei W. says: The photo juxtaposes two different cameras: one broken and one in perfect condition. I like the placement of the phones firstly because it's not one subject but two, and it brings your attention to the broken one first since it's more so in the foreground. The contrast of the bright white phone against the black background also helps to distinguish what you're focusing on.

Rennlei W. says: I immediately found this photo awe-striking from the detail alone, but when I noticed it was the skull of what I assume to be a horse it became even more phenomenal! The tonal range is heavily varied, with a lot of blacks distinguishing the bright grays and highlights. The exposure is just bright enough to illuminate the background subject too, along with having a depth of field that brings the middle-ground parts of the photograph into focus while softly blurring the foreground and background. I find this overall extremely impressing! :)

Rennlei W. says: The spray paint art depicted is rather striking in its own way, but when it's slightly distorted with streaks of light splotched against the wall, it has a different kind of feeling. The placement of the plant is also pretty smart too, it gives off an isolated feel in the creative world where you're trying to... shed some light on your work. But, the color range is very warm and spring/summer feeling and the ambiance feels like a self-driven environment full of possibilities.

Rennlei W. says: This feels like a dark and moody movie picture first and foremost-- there's a lot of shading in the overall picture, there's ambient lighting, no bright highlights to give it a very livened sense. This all brings together an emotion-induced picture, especially with the element of rain being played into it. The overall picture is very aesthetically pleasing and probably one of my favorites from your selection of various flowers!! ^^

Rennlei W. says: The motion lag gives off an unsettling feeling, as if you're moving but time seems to speed up around you. The picture in a whole is intriguing though, and I like the series of photos you took in this session! The lighting is very on point with a good left-to-right transition of tonal range. There's a clear depiction of the subject's face while there's distortion, which is neat!!

Rennlei W. says: I really enjoy the linear perspective of the trees from the base level-- they grow so tall into the picture! The interrupted sun rays on the trees and the overhanging leaves are very pleasing to the eye. The color range is soft and not straining on the eye; the sky has three different shades of blue going on which is really neat! I find the whole picture magnificent :)

Rennlei W. says: The linear perspective of the buildings and roads is very cool to see, it gives a very pleasing feel to the architecture and to be able to take a photo of a good example is rare! The picture has a good variation in shadows and highlights, and the exposure isn't too dark or too bright. I also like the reflection of the buildings in the water! The photo has a generally good placement, like the tall buildings being in the background.

Rennlei W. says: The color range between blue and pink is STRIKING, it's so pretty to look at! I wonder what concert this could be, but that the pink is high lighting the front of the stage while the blue more widely covers the outer band of people. I like that you can clearly pick a part different areas of the photo, like the entrances/exits to the arena, the lighting and stage, the walkways, the two levels to the building, etc. It's overall a very intriguing picture.

Rennlei W. says: I like the colors of the setting sun and how you're flying away from it! The gentle, dotted lighting of the town/city adds a very laid-back atmosphere to the picture, like winding down after a long day. The picture features a lot of blacks juxtaposed by enough color to be able to depict the different parts of the image. I personally really enjoy the highlights on the engine and how it's so bright against the foreground.
