Near Lee Abbey looking west towards Lee Bay, Crock Point and Woody Bay, North Devon, England.
Poem.
Beauty meets beauty.
Exmoor meets the sea.
Exquisite, verdant, rounded granite
moorland tumbles into the sea.
Bedecked by deciduous woodland,
a wild, serrated, ragged edge marks
the attrition between land and sea.
Coves and bays, cliffs and rocks.
Sea of abundant life in
translucent waters.
Created, evolved, begot
or a random outcome of a billion
complex interactions and reactions.
Right now, I care not.
To me, it is, and forever remains,
incalculably beautiful.
