Corfe Castle above the 450 year old Greyhound Inn, Isle of Purbeck, Dorset, England.

Poem.

A time-machine image.

Neolithic burial mounds around a classic fortress ruin.

Adjacent fields - Celtic field-patterns.

Strategic defensive node in Roman and Saxon Wessex.

Ground-breaking, original stone-built fortification -1066,

ordered by William 1.

Medieval town grew in its shadow.

450 years of hospitality at the Greyhound Inn.

A supreme defensive, strategic vantage point inspired this time- capsule, this cosmic “worm-hole” back in time,

70 million, 8,000, 4,000, 2,000, 1,000, 500, 50 and ……….5 years ago, thus cars, tarmac and road-markings.

A gap in the Purbeck Limestone hills

to an electricity junction box.

Who needs Dr. Who?
