Oh, valley of valleys.

This wondrous place.

Why will you never leave my mind’s-eye?

Because you are so beautiful, so, so special.

This sanctuary for wildlife-red stag, wildcat and golden eagle.

This mystical land of hillside, waterfall, rock and flood.

This proud land of high peaks, proud trees and sweeping slopes.

This embroidered, colourful tapestry of a land

with hardy heather, juniper, wild rose, rowan and bog-myrtle.

This beautiful land of jewelled lochs, rivers, salmon and trout.

This pure land of clean air, lilting breeze and bird-song.

You are so special, you are Holy, spiritual.

You lift my eyes, my heart, my hope and my spirit.

Others must share you, as you are, a million years from now!!!
