The incalcuable charm of fishing ports like Mevagissey is shown in this image of its crowded Inner Harbour, Cornwall.

Poem.

That cosy arm-encircling harbour.

Those multi-coloured cottages and shops,

zig-zagging, plummeting and plunging down the cliffs.

Gathering around the sea-walls like ravenous seagulls

swooping for the fresh catch.

A small fishing port seemingly gouged, carved, etched from

the very granitic rocks from which it is made.

Forever Cornwall, forever enchanting.
