The instructions had the elastic inserted in such a way that I'd never done, so it's a little rough. Had to actually unpick the elastic from the waistband in order to remove more than two inches since my elastic didn't seem to recover as well as expected..or maybe I had just not pulled it snug enough when trying it around my waist before sewing it. This is meant to sit at your natural waist since it's designed to go with a cropped top.
Dropped crotch, pleats- never thought I'd like revisiting the 90's but these pants are the exception.
