may 2 #mmmay15 B6182 top in rayon

Butterick 6182, a Sew Lisette pattern. The idea of this top is great, the fitting on the other hand for me..not so much. Even after adding 4", it's nearly too short for me to wear. Either I need to make a ton more high-waisted bottoms or these cropped top patterns will have to be put away.

Should have done a muslin, next time a forward shoulder adjustment will be made and maybe going up a size in the arms since these fit snug and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be more loose-fitting.

I'm sure this will be a pattern I could totally fall in love with, just have to work out the fitting/length kinks.

The fabric is a super lovely rayon challis bought back in Nov. of 2013 when I was in CA for a show and stopped into SF quickly to shop at Britex Fabrics. Of course, I was still bumbling along in newbie sewing lala land and was in the bad habit of only buying a yard to a yard and a half of fabric, not knowing how this would limit my pattern picking! Lesson learned the hard way.
