Central Market (Nagyvásárcsarnok): it is the largest and oldest covered market in the city. Located at the end of Vaci Utca (easily reachable thanks to the Fővám tér metro station of the new M4 line or via the M3 line getting off at the Kalvin Ter metro station) it impresses visitors both by its external architecture and by the size of its interiors. At the entrance you will be overwhelmed by smells and spectacular colors coming from hundreds of stalls all well supplied with typical local products. On the ground floor there are mainly butchers' counters, local culinary products, objects, some souvenir stalls and a seller of fresh orange squeezed juices. Downstairs you will find a supermarket, many shoals of fish, fruit and frozen products. The first floor has only souvenir stalls, with the exception of a wing where you can eat typical Hungarian dishes (langos, gulash, sült kolbász, hurka, soups, etc.) at reasonable prices (portions are plentiful). There are both self-service and local kiosks where you can sit comfortably.

Mercato Centrale (Nagyvásárcsarnok): è il mercato coperto più grande e antico della città. Situato alla fine di Vaci Utca (facilmente raggiungibile grazie alla fermata metro Fővám tér della nuova linea M4 o mediante la linea M3 scendendo alla stazione metro Kalvin Ter) colpisce il visitatore sia per la sua architettura esterna che per la grandezza dei suoi interni. All’entrata verrete travolti da odori e colori spettacolari provenienti da centinaia di bancarelle tutte ben fornite di prodotti tipici locali. Al piano terra sono presenti principalmente banchi di macelleria, prodotti culinari locali, oggettistica, alcune bancarelle di souvenir e un venditore di freschissime spremute d’arancia. Al piano inferiore troverete un supermercato, molti banchi di pesce, frutta e prodotti surgelati. Il primo piano dispone esclusivamente di bancarelle di souvenir, ad eccezione di un’ala in cui è possibile mangiare piatti tipici ungheresi (langos, gulash, sült kolbász, hurka, zuppe, ecc.) a prezzi modici (le porzioni sono abbondanti). Sono presenti sia chioschi self-service che locali in cui è possibile sedersi comodamente.
