Nearly back to former glory
With all parts back together, the testride revealed succes!
It sounds like a healthy car again! =)
No scraping noises at any speed! At least... Until 60KM/h that is...
I didn't dare going faster because well...
When we had the clutch cable off in order to change the gearbox, it also jumped off the pedal... I think we have somehow not mounted it back properly, because my clutch was totally fine before... And now it seems to not fully engage... It slips like a madmen...
It's not manually adjustable like in my BX... According to the Haynes manual, it's "self adjusting"... Whatever the practical use of that is... It's certainly not doing that...
I'm guessing I somehow didn't put it back correctly at the pedal, and it's in there too deep somehow. It's not like you have any space to work with under the dashboard there... You have to do this blindly...
At the gearbox's end at least, there is nothing to improve or adjust... So well, we're nearly there! Just one tiny pickle left to resolve and then I should have my Barn back on the road =D
And well, it should be because sunday I'll have to part with the C4 again... My two weeks with it are up... =( My friend needs it back!
