Happy International Mother Language Day 2017
On February 21, 1952, native speakers of Bangla (aka Bengali) stood up to get the government to recognize Bangla as a national language. In response, the government brutally shot and killed several in the rally. They shed their blood to establish their mother language as a national language and they succeeded. Now the world observes the 21st February as the International Mother Language Day. © 2017 Sir Mehedi
