DoF is SOOOO hard to explain, and honestly my approach is mostly trial and error. I typically only ever adjust f-number and Foc Length, to get the desired look. And it's further tricky, because it can look super blurry in the Snapshot preview, but then it's barely blurry in the maximum resolution export. So you have to go by your exported test images, not the in world preview.

 

Anyway, I hope this at least explains the basics and gives people a starting point to using DoF.
