Attack by Seagulls
This work captures the startling attack by seagulls on an unsuspecting victim. The progression of physical movement in response to the attack creates an added narrative. I focused on the facial expression of my subject and exaggerated the features to capture the emotion. For this I drew on inspiration from Paula Rego's work displayed at the Jerwood Gallery. Her work often incorporates the feelings of fear and phobia portrayed in a narrative series, allowing the viewer to experience their own unique response to the sequence of events that unfold
