Dovilai Ethnic Culture Center is located in the center of Dovilai town, in one of the few surviving old buildings. Cultural activities in this place began in the interwar period: plays were shown here, dance evenings, and afternoons were held. During the Soviet era, a culture house was established, which existed even after the restoration of independence. Since February 1, 2005, the culture house has become the Dovilai Ethnic Culture Center. The Commission for Accreditation and Category Assignment of Cultural Centers and Their Branches, approved by the Klaipėda District Municipality Council, awarded the Dovilai Ethnic Culture Center the first category in 2012.
