Vor dem Hochhaus Upper West am Breitscheidplatz steht eine 16 meter hohe und vier Tonnen schwere Gaslaterne, das Kunstwerk "Lesser". Ein hochglanzpolierter Leuchter, von Olaf Nicolai, soll eine Verbindung von Architektur und Kunst sein. Er erstrahlt jeden Abend bei Sonnenuntergang. Es wird vermutet, das es die größte Gaslaterne der Welt ist.

In front of the Upper West tower block on Breitscheidplatz stands a 16 metre high, four tonne gas lantern, the artwork "Lesser". A highly polished chandelier by Olaf Nicolai is intended to be a combination of architecture and art. It lights up every evening at sunset. It is believed to be the largest gas lantern in the world.

L'art dans la tour Upper West!

Devant la tour Upper West sur la Breitscheidplatz se trouve un lampadaire à gaz de 16 mètres de haut et pesant quatre tonnes, l'œuvre d'art "Lesser". Un chandelier poli miroir, conçu par Olaf Nicolai, est censé être un lien entre l'architecture et l'art. Il s'illumine chaque soir au coucher du soleil. On pense qu'il s'agit de la plus grande lanterne à gaz du monde.
