The Real Terminator
10,000 Days
One more of the previously posted chase of the NICTD ferry to Dune Park, in fact, a shot that I initially thought wouldn't be posted on here because of how difficult this was to work in post. However, after getting a heads up that one of these happened this previous Saturday, not being able to get out and photograph another gave me the push to sit down for hours with this and try to work something out.
I had decided to skip out on a shot on 11th Street, which has been torn up and resembles an unrecognizable warzone now, to try and get ahead for a shot on 10th Street, which, save for quite a few homes being torn down, had remained -relatively- untouched. In the end, I could have easily made shooting on both streets work, I guess I wasn't considering the fact that 10mph running and stopping at every road crossing across a mile would take so long.
ANYWAY, here is NICD 1001 (with all it's nose light excellence) breaking onto 10th St. after getting permission across the Amtrak Michigan Line. Notice the rather extreme example of the "Share the Road" concept here, vehicular traffic in both directions, and then some. Unfortunately, as is now the case with 11th St., a concept that is very very very close to becoming entirely extinct here in Michigan City.
I am hoping to frame up at least one more move here, as I hear that the pavement pictured here is not long for this world.
Time will tell...
