Water cloth serviettes woven by weaving students in a Design Studies course taught by associate professor Marianne Fairbanks, a 2015 Wisconsin Idea Seminar alumna. Students who wove the serviettes participated in a First Nations Cultural Landscape tour led by Annie Jones, enrolled member of the Menominee Nation, and professor of organization development and tribal nations specialist for the UW–Madison Division of Extension. Students were invited to contemplate notions of responsibility, reciprocity, and respect and the interconnectedness that tether us to the land and water of campus.
